About London Motorcycle Centre
London Motorcycle Centre is a busy, growing motorcycle service and repair workshop in Wembley, North West London. Established in 2019, we look after everything from 125cc commuter bikes and scooters to larger machines, and we provide fleet maintenance for one of London's largest motorcycle training schools, with more than 200 bikes under our care. We also offer collection and delivery, emergency recovery and vehicle hire, so no two days are the same.
We are expanding and looking for motorcycle technicians and mechanics to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis.
The role
As a Motorcycle Technician at London Motorcycle Centre, you will be carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on a wide range of motorcycles and scooters. Day-to-day work includes:
- Routine servicing and scheduled maintenance (oil changes, filters, brakes, chains and sprockets, tyres)
- Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems
- Engine, clutch, suspension and brake repairs
- Pre-delivery inspections and safety checks on fleet and hire bikes
- Fitting parts and accessories
- Keeping accurate job records and communicating clearly with the workshop team
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised workspace
- A real interest in motorcycles and a willingness to learn
- Some hands-on experience with motorcycle or scooter servicing and repair, whether professional, through a college course, or from working on your own bikes
- A methodical approach and attention to detail
- Reliability, good timekeeping and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- A full UK motorcycle licence is an advantage but not essential
- Formal qualifications (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or similar) are welcome but not required
Not got years of experience? That is fine. We are happy to hear from newly qualified technicians, apprentices, trainees and anyone with a solid mechanical background who wants to build a career in the motorcycle trade. If you are keen, reliable and willing to learn, we will give you the training and support to develop your skills alongside our experienced technicians.
- Competitive salary, reviewed against your experience and skills
- Performance-based bonuses
- Referral bonus when you introduce a new team member who joins us
- A friendly, supportive and professional working environment
- Full-time or part-time hours to suit you
- Steady, varied workload across customer bikes, fleet maintenance and hire vehicles
- Ongoing training and the chance to progress as the business grows
- Easy to reach location in Wembley with good transport links
