Powersport & Classic Motorcycles is a family-owned Motorcycle business based in Christchurch Dorset. We specialise in selling Classics from 70’s to 0’S with a passion for Italian Bikes. The business consists of a shop selling bikes, parts and accessories, an MOT bay offering MOTs by appointment and a ~Workshop offering servicing, repairs, diagnostics and tyres for modern, classic bikes.

Job Summary:
To work in the workshop, duties to include the general repair and servicing of all makes and models of bikes, MOT’s, tyre fittings, fault finding and general workshop jobs.

Key Responsibilities – including but not limited to:
- Carry out routine, scheduled services.
- Carry out a class 1 & Class 2 MOT and explain to the customer any advisories or issues encountered.
- Efficiently diagnosing standard and complex faults and ensuring underlying problems are identified and resolved.
- Test ride customer and sale bikes.
- Be able to identify & advise on any service advisories or defects.
- Good communication skills required, to liaise with our customers, provide technical explanations in a way that is easily understood.
- Excellent time management both personally and professionally.
- Tyre fitting, able to fit and balance tyres both on bikes and loose wheels.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
- Stripping, fitting and replacing components on motorcycles, including engine rebuilds.
- All work to be produced to a very high level.
- Accurately complete job cards and reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.
- Working to deadlines to ensure work is completed on time.
- Would be expected to be an adaptable team player, with a positive attitude but also be able to work on their own initiative and effectively self-manage jobs.

Ideal Candidate

Someone with a passion for & experience with classic bikes including Italian bikes would be an advantage.
Able to work on their own initiative and effectively self-manage jobs.

Essential

Certified DVSA Motorcycle (class 1 & 2) MOT Tester (Or willing to obtain qualification).
Qualified Motorcycle service technician with at least 3 years’ experience in servicing a range of bikes.
Full motorcycle licence.
