Kinetics Group is a leading integrated marketing and events agency based in Corby, Northamptonshire. We are renowned for our impressive and industry-leading work which includes supporting many leading motorcycle manufacturers such as Honda & Triumph with their new model launches. We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Motorcycle Technician to join our team. This is no ordinary role as you’ll be required to do some traditional workshop technical activities as well as having the flexibility to go away on events providing technical support. However, if you are a motorcycle enthusiast then this role is a complete one off as you will have the privilege to be working on all the latest model motorcycle launches, often before they come to market, something a dealership cannot offer.
Responsibilities include:
- Work on multiple motorcycles within tight deadlines without sacrificing perfect standards and the pressure of a zero margin for error.
- Work on pre-production and unreleased motorcycles, using only experience and knowledge to solve technical issues.
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections.
- Complete relevant PDI and service documentation in line with manufacturer requirements.
- Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to the highest standard the first time and in accordance with manufacturer’s schedules and specifications.
- Fitting accessories and aftermarket parts to fleet motorcycles.
- Stripping, fitting and replacing components on motorcycles, including full engine rebuilds.
- Electrical and mechanical repairs, including steering, suspension, brakes, drive chain, exhausts and tyres.
- Utilise current diagnostic testing equipment to identify and rectify potential faults.
- Ensure all product being used in dynamic environment is mechanically inspected and safe to ride and presented to precise manufacturer tolerances ensuring optimum performance levels.
- Road testing motorcycles during and after work has been carried out
- On occasion you may be required to answer questions from journalists, media, influencers and as such you must be able to communicate clearly and provide technical explanations in a way that can be easily understood.
- Communicate clearly with manufacturer product designers and technicians to overcome any previously unknown technical issues on site.
- Follow precise instructions and processes repetitively without losing concentration or focus.
- Work with teams of multiple nationalities and respect their cultures and different ways of working.
- Provide insurance estimates for repairs.
- To comply with and maintain company policies, standards and procedures relating to quality and customer care within the workshop department.
This is an exciting, varied and challenging role which requires extensive travel throughout Europe. Approximately 2/3 of your time will be spent here in the UK with 1/3 of your time being spent in Europe. - You are a competent and qualified Motorcycle Technician and be happy to be put through your manufacturer Master Tech qualification.
- You live within a 30 mile radius of our base in Northamptonshire.
- The successful candidate must have franchise/manufacturer workshop experience of modern motorcycles and be able to use current diagnostic equipment.
- Be a fully qualified Motorcycle Technician
- You must be a self-motivated with a flexible can-do attitude, able to work autonomously and as part of a small close team.
- Hold a full A Category motorcycle licence.
- A passion for all things two wheels.
- Willingness to travel and be away from home (in Europe) for up to 18 days at a time.
- Strong attention to detail, fault finding, technical and problem-solving skills and an ability to make small adjustments to achieve perfection.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate a consistently professional demeanour.
