Motorcycle Service Advisor

We live and breathe motorcycles and our 2nd generation family run dealership was established in 1980. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join our team in our premium multi-franchise business as a Motorcycle Service Advisor.

Responsibilities and duties include:

- As a Service Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while providing exceptional service.
- Your role will involve upselling services and managing cash transactions efficiently.
- Responsibility for ensuring that the workshop environment is efficiently loaded.
- Making sure all warranty claims are handled effectively and to the satisfaction of our customers and that warranty work is completed on time by the workshop.
- Organising all data capture to ensure that customers are communicated with effectively and every opportunity for selling service work and promoting the activity of the Service department is fully maximised.
- Making sure that Aftersales/Service Customer Satisfaction scores reflect the expectations of the business and manufacturers.
- Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs required for vehicles.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to offer informed recommendations to customers.
- Manage customer enquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.

Work Schedule:
Working hours are 8.30-17.30 Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, 8.30- 19.00 Thursday (ate nights February to September) and 8.30-17.00 on Saturday. In person - On site.

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and repairs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to upsell products and services effectively.
Experience with cash handling procedures is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Essential

A passion for motorcycles is an absolute must as is the ability to deliver results.
A good technical knowledge of motorcycles together with the ability to communicate clearly with both the workshop and customers.
Full clean driving licence.
A full motorcycle licence. (A2 at a minimum)
GCSE English & Maths

Desirable
