A very rare opportunity has arisen at Harley-Davidson Reading, we are seeking a fully experienced and passionate Dealer Principal/ General Manager to lead our experienced team, this is a very rare opportunity to work with the most iconic motorcycle brand in the world and with the UK’s largest retailer of Harley-Davidson’s.

This position is the key senior management role within our business, Reading H-D opened in 2015 and is part of the LIND Group which also has H-D Dealerships in Guildford, Newmarket, Norwich and Watford, so you will join our strong H-D management team, benefiting from shared knowledge, best practice and a group approach in general, we have grown due to our absolute focus on our customers, team and brands.

You will lead from the front, your team already have a great deal of experience and passion for LIND and Harley-Davidson, and we have a strong momentum at Reading that can build further with the right leader. Achieving outstanding customer service whilst achieving set targets both from the Manufacturer and the Lind Group will be second nature to you, and your people skills will be exemplary.

Above all, you will share our passion for Harley-Davidson. You will be able to prove a long, successful track record of continuous experience and performance within a Dealer Principal/ General Management role, your first and foremost priority will be a desire to provide the very best experience for our customers, standard customer service is simply not enough.

With us you will need to genuinely want to take ownership of our customers’ needs, wants and desires, you’ll want to drive dealership events and be fully immersed with our owners group, you’ll want to have some fun, we live and breathe bikes, to us this is far more than just a place of work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Total responsibility for a large H-D dealership.
- Delivery of outstanding customer experiences.
- Recruit, Train, Develop, Retain and Motivate a team of 14.
- Achieving set targets from LIND and Harley-Davidson.
- Management reporting and input at group level.

Essential

- A minimum of five years proven track record at Dealer Principal/ General Manager level with the motor trade.
- Provable track record on people recruitment/ training/ development and motivation.
- Strong customer focus with a desire to create a destination dealership.
- Full knowledge of Profit & Loss and Reporting systems within the motor trade.
- Possess proven business development skills.
- Proven ability to lead from the front.
- Entrepreneurial skill set is a must, you will have the freedom and independence to develop.
- Full UK motorcycle & dar driving licence.
