Warehouse Operative

We are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of motorcycle road and race exhaust systems throughout the motorcycle world. With offices in the USA, UK, Australia, and Japan we have dedicated sales teams providing excellent customer service for all kinds of motorcycle exhaust enquiries. Our team is made up active enthusiasts with a racing or motor sports background. Due to our continued success, we are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to pick and dispatch orders from our distribution centre based in Staffordshire.

You will be solely responsible for the daily tasks as listed below:

Pick orders, currently using a paper system. However, a barcode scanner system is currently under development which we are looking to implement with the assistance of the successful candidate.
Packing.
Replenishing stock in location.
Using internal DMS to update tracking details upon dispatch Handover of parcels to courier at specified collection time.

Ongoing:

Monitor stock levels of packing supplies.
Organising the warehouse, moving bulk products where necessary.

All applicants applying for this vacancy must be available long term and have a steady work history. Previous Warehouse Picking/Packing experience would be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have around 2 years' warehouse experience which should include picking orders, loading and unloading deliveries, checking of goods in/out back to paperwork, etc.
A reasonable level of physical fitness is also required as some lifting will be involved. You will be able to work responsibly in an organised and efficient manner.

Essential

- The candidate will require good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Full driving license
- An excellent attention to detail is critical.
- You must be reliable and able to work on own initiative.
- Previous stock control responsibility.

Desirable

Fork Lift truck certification would be is not necessary but would be advantageous.

OTE after successful probation period in the region of £20,000pa to £24,500pa depending upon experience.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) – Saturdays are occasionally available to work as overtime.
