Accountant / Book-Keeper

Alf's Motorcycles are a well established and respected Kawasaki & MV Agusta Motorcycle dealership based in Worthing, West Sussex. We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, organised person, with the sole responsibility of the finance function.

• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting processes
• Maintaining the purchase ledger and responsible for all payments
• Purchase/Sales & Nominal ledger maintenance
• Bank, Barclaycard and nominal reconciliations
• Monthly balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
• Calculation of VAT & Returns
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Robust cashflow forecasting
• Be able to interpret financial data, providing analysis and comparison information (including stock reports) in a timely manner
• Submitting payroll data and making BACS payments
• Maintenance of HR Records
• Government reporting (FCA/GABRIEL/National Statistics)
• Ad hoc duties (annual subscriptions/utility contracts)

Ideal Candidate

Background within the motor trade
Working knowledge of Catalyst or similar bespoke package

Good Time Management - able to work to deadlines
Good communicator
Excellent Excel skills

Desirable

Ideally will be qualified to at least AAT
