Classic Bike Engine Builder & Motorcycle Technician

 Aberystwyth, Wales

 Technical, Engineering, Master Technician

SRM was founded by Steve Ronald Mcfarlane in the early 1980’s to provide engineering services for BSA A7/A10 owners. From humble beginnings in a single room building on Penarth Dock our company has grown and grown. Our BSA customers started asking about work on Triumph and Norton too, so our same high standards were passed to Triumph and Norton rebuilds although the bulk of our work continues to be on BSA product.

We consider ourselves to be an on-going R&D department, not just keeping the bikes running beautifully but constantly innovating to realise the full potential of the bikes as if they had been continually developed from the factory. With our in-house development team, CAD design and CNC machines we are able to design,
fabricate and prototype all under one roof. Our aim is to supply products and design innovation that take the anxiety out of classic bike ownership. Today, we specialise in engine reconditioning, gearbox rebuilds, crankshaft grinding and balancing on British Classic Motorcycles.

Due to the continued growth and success of our business, we’re now looking to enhance our workshop team by recruiting for two positions - a Classic Bike Engine Builder and a Motorcycle Technician with machine shop knowledge and experience of boring, milling, turning and grinding. In line with our reputation, you will be responsible for carrying out the highest quality of work on some of the best-known classic bike brand names in the industry.

We are a friendly team with an enviable reputation for excellence that prides itself on delivering the very best levels of service to our customers. If you are keen to join our prestigious company and have the relevant experience, we would like to hear from you so please apply direct to us via this ad.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidates will have a strong technical background, be focused, passionate about classic bikes, enthusiastic and possess a good work ethic. An understanding and knowledge of basic engineering would be an advantage.

Benefits

A very competitive salary will be awarded to the successful candidates that will fully reflect your experience, knowledge and qualifications.
