A very rare opportunity has arisen at Streetbike in Halesowen, we are seeking a fully experienced and passionate Dealer Principal / General Manager to lead our experienced team, this is a very rare opportunity to work with iconic motorcycle brands Triumph & Suzuki

This position is the key senior management role within our business, where our absolute focus is on our customers, team and brands. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Dealer Principal is responsible for developing the dealership and managing the team, market exploitation, customer engagement and dealership profitability in-line with Streetbike and the manufacturers strategy and targets.

You will lead from the front, your team already have a great deal of experience and passion for all things Motorcycling, we have a strong momentum at Streetbike which we hope to build on further with the right leader. Achieving outstanding customer service whilst achieving set targets from both of our Manufacturers will be second nature to you, and your people skills will be exemplary.

Above all, you will share our passion for Motorcycles. You will be able to prove a long, successful track record of continuous experience and performance within a Dealer Principal / General Management role within the automotive industry, your first and foremost priority will be a desire to provide the very best experience for our customers.

With us you will need to genuinely want to take ownership of our customers’ needs, wants and desires, you’ll want to drive dealership events and be fully immersed with our owner and Managing Director, you’ll want to have some fun, we live and breathe bikes, to us this is far more than just a place of work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Day-to-Day running of the business
• Drive the delivery of business targets
• Effectively manage the growth of New & Used Motorcycle sales
• Provide clear leadership, motivating and manage employees effectively, providing coaching and development to maximise effectiveness
• Devise a clear business plan to ensure business objectives are met, profit margins are increased and market penetration is expanded
• Achieve customer satisfaction objectives
• Act as a leader to perpetuate the positive culture within the dealership
• Identify opportunities for the improvement and development of all elements within the dealership
• Build a strong and close relationship with the Streetbike Management Team, Triumph UK, Suzuki GB and our Business Partners and Suppliers
• Working closely with our Accountants to understand, monitor, control and manage effectively the finances of the business to provide cost improvements
• Ensure the achievement of operating standards, policies, budgets and targets set by the manufacturer, are met along with those of Streetbike.

Essential

• A minimum of five years proven track record at Dealer Principal / General Manager level within the motor trade.
• Provable track record on people recruitment, training, development and motivation.
• Strong customer focus with a desire to create a destination dealership.
• Full knowledge of Profit & Loss and Reporting systems within the motorcycle / automotive trade.
• Possess proven business development skills.
• Proven ability to lead from the front.
• Full UK Category A motorcycle entitlement.
• A strong grounding in both the Sales and Aftersales departments within the automotive industry.
• You should possess strong levels of drive, determination and enthusiasm; and you will be a skilled and engaging leader.
• You will have a high level of attention to detail coupled with the ability to see the implications of the ‘bigger picture’, whilst keeping our people and our customers at the forefront of every decision made. You will inspire our team daily, even when tough decisions need to be made and be willing to ‘roll your sleeves up’ when necessary.

Desirable
