Mobile Motorcycle Technician

Maeving is a new British electric motorcycle manufacturer. Everything, from the design to the Direct-to-Consumer business model, represents a significant disruption in what is already an exciting emerging sector. Based in Coventry, the heartland of British motorcycle heritage, our small and dynamic team is responsible for some of the most iconic British motorcycles of the last 25 years. At current, the Maeving RM1 is the number one selling electric motorcycle in the UK.

We’re looking for a smart, skilled and organised Mobile Motorcycle Technician & Delivery Driver to join our growing team. You’ll work directly with the Delivery and Aftersales Team as well as the Design and Assembly Teams. The role will focus on executing customer deliveries, services and repairs at customer’s homes across the UK. This is a stretch role and an opportunity to join an innovative start up, where you’ll see the impact of your work daily.

Responsibilities:

• Executing services and repairs both in the field and in the Maeving workshop to the Maeving standard (tools provided by Maeving). On average 3 trips per week depending on requirements.
• Delivering customer motorcycles and representing the Maeving brand.
• Maintaining a professional and friendly manner when interacting with customers.
• Happy & confident driving long hours and when necessary, staying out overnight (expenses covered by Maeving)
• Completing repair and service paperwork both in the office and the field. Updating digital systems to ensure accurate records of parts, labour, transport and warranty work are kept.
• Detailing work (pre-delivery inspection)
• Working with the Delivery & After Sales team to improve the Maeving Workshop. This includes anticipating customer challenges and proactively solving issues before they materialise.

The successful candidate will be trained at our Coventry HQ and will need to be onsite 2-3 days per week. If you are based further afield, you should ideally live near the London/Reading/Slough area or somewhere along the M4 corridor.

Ideal Candidate

• Previously worked as a Technician in the automotive industry, or similar roles using automotive tools.
• Comfortable using computer and phone apps to execute daily tasks.
• Full car driving license.
• Full Motorcycle or CBT license.
