The successful applicant is expected to be a good communicator having had experience in dealing with customers directly. A polite helpful manner and honest character is essential. You are expected to be a fully skilled technician with a number of years experience in the motorcycle trade. You will be a key member of the management team and expected to promote the companies vision, mission, strategies and values at all times. Working to high standards and ensuring that customer expectations are exceeded is to be second nature. You will be working in the Manchester workshop as lead technician. Other duties will include tracking jobs through our busy workshops and keeping customers updated with regular progress reports. You will also be responsible for motivating and running a technical department that has a can do approach to all the challenges that occur.

Communication between all departments is vital to the success of the business and you will be expected to facilitate this across all departments. You have access to weekly performance figures along with responses from both Triumph and our customer satisfaction surveys these will be the basis of monitoring your performance. Maintaining staff moral along with a culture of self-improvement and learning are seen as key parts of your role.

Youles Motorcycles was started in 1985 now operating from two sites one in Blackburn and one in Manchester. We are agents for Triumph Piaggio Vespa and Gilera. The business has a friendly atmosphere and values its staff. Continual training and development is a core principal of the business. Many of our team have been here for a number of years and we develop rounded industry professionals. Philip Youles is currently involved in developing the new Trail Blazer apprenticeship scheme and committed to the long term development of the industry.

Ideal Candidate

Someone with NVQ level three having worked for a number of years in a busy main dealer. With a good understanding of diagnostics and fault finding. Able to motivate a team and drive the after sales department in line with the company objectives.


Must be an outstanding technician at the top of there game. The ability to share the knowledge and processes throughout the team. Honesty and reliability and a capability to express information and opinions clearly, friendly and accurately through the spoken and written word.
A positive attitude is essential.


Have experience of Triumph and Piaggio product.
At least ten years of experience within a busy workshop.
